  • Verisha provides information and workflow tools, not legal advice or a guaranteed official result.
  • A price and action are shown before a paid service is confirmed; optional auto-top-up needs separate approval.
  • You must have authority to submit client, seller, owner, tax, identity and document data.
  • Mandatory rights under Kenyan consumer and data-protection law are not waived.

Agreement and version

These Terms form an agreement between you and the operator of the service trading as Verisha (“Verisha”, “we”, “us”). By selecting the acceptance control, creating or continuing an account after a required update, or confirming a paid action that refers to these Terms, you agree to the version displayed above. If you act for a firm or another person, you confirm that you are authorized to bind them for that use.

This is an electronic agreement. The current Terms remain available on this page for you to read, save and print, and we record the version accepted by an account. Immediately before a paid internet or remote agreement, the interface should show the service, total price and a clear opportunity to accept, decline or correct input. A feature-specific quote, consent or order summary becomes part of the agreement for that action.

The Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing and is incorporated by reference. If a feature-specific term conflicts with these general Terms, the more specific term controls only for that feature; mandatory law always controls.

What Verisha provides

Verisha provides Kenyan legal, tax and land information and workflow tools. Depending on availability and your account, features may include source-grounded questions and answers, public-signal parcel checks, paid reports and official-search facilitation, title watches, tax preparation or filing, document analysis and drafting, voice access, wallets or firm credit pools, matters, teams, branded reports, API access and support.

A feature is offered only to the extent shown in the product at the time. A preview, public signal, estimate, draft or “pending official search” field is not a registry record, filed return, valuation, court order or completed transaction. We do not hold rent, sale proceeds, client money, trust funds or other third-party funds.

Information and AI limits

Information, not advice. Verisha is not a law firm, advocate, land registry, tax authority, valuer, financial adviser or government agency. Using the service does not create an advocate–client, fiduciary or agency relationship.

AI and source retrieval can misunderstand a question, omit an authority, use stale material or produce an incorrect citation, calculation, classification or draft. A risk label is a summary of available signals, not a conclusion that land is clean, safe, genuine or free of interests. A tax draft depends on the facts you provide and is not accepted until the relevant authority confirms it.

Before relying on an output, read the cited source, check the date and official status, confirm facts and calculations, and obtain a licensed advocate, tax professional, valuer or other qualified professional where the decision is important. Never use Verisha as the only basis for buying land, filing a time-sensitive case, transferring money, admitting liability or missing a statutory deadline.

Eligibility and accounts

You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement. A person who lacks that capacity may use the service only through a parent, guardian or other person lawfully authorized to act for them. The service is not designed for children to open accounts or submit legal, tax, land, identity or payment information on their own.

  • Provide accurate account details and keep them current.
  • Keep sign-in links, one-time codes, devices and API credentials secure; do not share a personal account.
  • Tell us promptly through Help if you suspect unauthorized access, a mistaken charge or incorrect account data.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account until you report compromise, except to the extent the law or our own fault requires otherwise.

Your content and authority

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Verisha and its processors a limited permission to host, copy, transmit, analyze, transform and display it only as needed to provide, secure and support the requested service, comply with law and exercise rights under this agreement. The Privacy Policy explains retention and sharing.

You confirm that your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the rights, instructions, notices, consents and other lawful basis needed to submit and process it. This includes client confidences, employee data, seller or registered-owner contact details, identity evidence, tax data, copyrighted documents and personal data about any other person.

Professionals remain responsible for confidentiality, privilege, conflicts, supervision, verification, client authority and their regulatory duties. Before sending privileged or highly sensitive material to an AI feature, decide whether doing so is permitted by the client, your professional duties and applicable law, and minimize or redact content where possible.

Official and third-party systems

Verisha can search or connect to systems operated by Kenya Law, KRA, the Ministry of Lands, Ardhisasa, eCitizen, BRS, courts, identity or vehicle providers, payment providers and other third parties. Those systems control their own records, availability, credentials, response times, fees and legal terms. A link, integration or facilitation service does not make Verisha the issuing authority.

An official land search may require the registered owner’s consent. You must not impersonate an owner, bypass a consent step, misuse credentials or request a record without lawful authority. If a government or third-party system changes, rejects, delays or withdraws a service, we may pause the feature, return an available draft or status, or process a charge adjustment under the cancellation section.

Prices, credits and payments

Verisha is pay-as-you-go unless a written firm order says otherwise. There is no recurring subscription for the standard service. Before a paid action, the interface shows the action and applicable price in Kenyan shillings, credits or another displayed currency. You can accept, decline or correct the request before confirming it.

  • Prepaid wallet and firm-pool balances are service credits used for Verisha actions. They are not a bank account, deposit, stored-value facility, trust account or client-money account, do not earn interest and cannot be used to hold or transfer third-party funds.
  • Paystack, Stripe, a bank, mobile-money operator or another displayed rail processes the payment under its own terms. Verisha does not store full card numbers.
  • Government, registry, identity, bank, tax or other third-party fees are identified where known and may be included in, or separate from, the Verisha service price as the order summary states.
  • Optional auto-top-up must be enabled separately with a threshold, amount and eligible saved payment method. You can disable it for future charges; a charge already initiated may still complete and will be handled under the applicable payment and refund rules.

Taxes, exchange rates and invoice treatment depend on the transaction and law. You remain responsible for taxes imposed on you; we remain responsible for taxes imposed on Verisha. A firm that needs a tax invoice should use the invoice route shown before payment.

Cancellation and refunds

Nothing in these Terms removes a cancellation, refund, chargeback or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or another applicable law. Kenyan rules for internet and remote agreements include disclosure, correction, copy and conditional cancellation rights; the exact remedy depends on the facts rather than a blanket cooling-off promise.

  • A wallet reservation for an instant action should be released if the action fails before completion. A third-party job fee that the order identifies as refundable is returned if the job is not delivered under that stated condition.
  • For the owner-consent official land-search flow, the displayed pass-through fee is returned to the wallet if the required registered-owner consent is not obtained, as stated before confirmation.
  • A completed digital report, filed return, delivered search, consumed AI action or third-party fee already incurred may not be reversible merely because you changed your mind. We will still assess defects, duplicate charges, non-delivery and mandatory legal rights.
  • If a payment provider returns money for a top-up, the corresponding unused credits are reversed; if credits have already been used, the account or pool may become due or restricted while the adjustment is resolved.

Report a failed, duplicate or unauthorized charge promptly through Account → Help and include the provider reference, date, amount and service—not a card number, password or one-time code. The payment provider may require its own verification.

Firms, teams and API

A firm administrator controls invitations, roles, matter access, branding, API credentials, webhooks, billing settings and the shared credit pool for that firm. The firm is responsible for authorizing administrators, removing leavers, reviewing audit activity, giving its personnel and clients required notices, and deciding what client data may be processed.

API keys and webhook secrets must be stored securely, scoped to authorized systems and rotated after suspected exposure. You may not use the API to evade interface safeguards, consent, rate limits or payment controls, or to build a competing legal corpus or resell raw service access unless a written order expressly allows it. Usage and pass-through fees shown for the firm apply to automated calls as well as interface actions.

Acceptable use

You must not use Verisha to:

  • break the law, court rules, professional duties, intellectual-property rights or another person’s privacy or confidentiality;
  • impersonate a person, falsify consent or authority, submit a false tax or identity record, or misrepresent an AI output as an official record or advocate’s opinion;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or government/third-party systems, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls or obtain data you are not entitled to;
  • generate harassment, fraud, discrimination or unlawful surveillance, or make a solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effect without a lawful basis and required safeguards;
  • share credentials, circumvent charges or limits, or exploit an error instead of reporting it.

We may investigate suspected misuse and preserve relevant records. We may remove content or restrict an action where reasonably necessary to protect people, systems, evidence or legal compliance.

Ownership and permitted use

Verisha and its licensors own the software, interface, brand, original templates, selection and arrangement of proprietary content and other service materials. Public laws, judgments, Gazette notices, registry records and your content remain subject to their own ownership and public-access rules; we do not claim ownership merely because the service retrieves or links to them.

While your account is permitted to use the service, we grant you a personal or internal-business, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the interface and outputs for their intended purpose. You may share a report with the people involved in the relevant matter and your advisers, subject to privacy and confidentiality. You may not remove source or risk notices, sell access, present Verisha as a government source, or copy substantial service content to train or operate a competing product without written permission.

Feedback may be used to improve the service without identifying you or disclosing confidential content. Do not send feedback you are not permitted to share.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Verisha available and accurate, but do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular response time, permanent availability of a feature or compatibility with every device. Internet, mobile-money, AI, cloud and government systems can be slow, unavailable or change without our control. Planned maintenance, security incidents and lawful orders may also interrupt service.

We may add, modify or retire a feature to improve safety, comply with law or respond to a supplier change. We will give reasonable notice where a material change affects paid or stored work and notice is practicable. We will not label an unavailable integration as a completed official action.

Suspension and ending use

You may stop using the service at any time and may erase your account from Account → Privacy & data. Before deleting, export anything you need and resolve open firm or payment matters. After verification, deletion immediately removes the profile, authentication account, personal account-owned work product, wallet balance and active watches. Shared firm matters, documents, billing and audit records remain under the firm’s control where needed; your access is removed and personal attribution is deleted or replaced with a one-way subject. A pending payment must settle first, and a sole firm administrator must appoint another accepted administrator.

Where linked and configured, deletion also removes the saved Stripe customer, deactivates the Paystack authorization and requests bulk deletion of PostHog person, event and recording data; those providers may need additional time to finish. Personal usage and lifecycle customer events are deleted. Required payment, filed-tax, firm billing/audit, fraud and dispute records are retained only as lawfully necessary and with restricted use; the live account identifier is replaced and other identifiers are minimized where possible, but some statutory or active fraud/dispute records still require identifiers. A narrow suppression record is retained only to ensure deletion cannot accidentally re-enable marketing. Filed tax records are generally retained for five years from the end of the reporting period under section 23 of the Tax Procedures Act, and may remain longer for an amended return, proceeding, investigation or legal claim. We respond to an erasure request within fourteen days and explain a lawful exception.

We may temporarily restrict an account or action where reasonably needed to address security, suspected fraud, unlawful use, a payment reversal, risk to another person, a provider requirement or a material breach. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and offer a way to correct or appeal it. We may end access after notice if the breach is not corrected, or immediately for urgent safety or legal reasons.

Terms that by their nature must continue—including payment adjustments, confidentiality, ownership, records, permitted disclaimers, liability, disputes and legal compliance—survive the end of use.

Responsibility and liability

Each party is responsible for loss it causes through its breach of these Terms, negligence, fraud, unlawful act or infringement of another person’s rights, subject to applicable law and proof. You are responsible for your instructions, inputs, professional judgment and decisions made after receiving an output. Verisha is responsible for operating the service with reasonable care and skill and for remedies that Kenyan law makes mandatory.

To the extent the law permits, Verisha is not responsible for a loss caused solely by inaccurate or unauthorized input, ignoring an express warning or source, an external system or network beyond our reasonable control, an action taken after a feature was clearly marked draft/unavailable, or use outside the intended purpose. We do not guarantee title, tax acceptance, court outcome, legal outcome, market value, uninterrupted service or the accuracy of third-party records.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a mandatory consumer or data-protection remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence where applicable. Any other limitation is interpreted only as far as Kenyan law allows and does not prevent you from approaching a court, the Competition Authority, the ODPC or another regulator that has jurisdiction.

Law, disputes and notices

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. A dispute may be brought before a court or tribunal with jurisdiction in Kenya, without taking away any statutory complaint, consumer, data-protection or other remedy. Before formal proceedings, either party may send a written description of the issue and proposed resolution so the parties can try to resolve it in good faith; this does not stop an urgent application or a legal limitation period.

We may send service and legal notices in the app or to the email, phone or channel associated with your account. You must keep contact details current. Electronic records, acceptance and communications are used subject to the Kenya Information and Communications Act, the Evidence Act, the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law; no clause guarantees that a particular record will be accepted for every legal formality.

We may update these Terms for a material service, provider or legal change. The updated date and version will appear above. If a change materially affects accepted rights or obligations, we will give an appropriate notice and require renewed acceptance before continued authenticated use. Changes do not retroactively rewrite a completed order unless the law requires it or both parties agree.

If a court finds one clause unenforceable, it is limited or removed only to the minimum necessary and the rest continues. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without consent; Verisha may transfer it with the service in a lawful reorganization while preserving your mandatory rights and giving notice where required.
